Clasificada como 5 de 5 por de Salinas location great, HQ/central is not A year ago a bad installation by a Virginia Safelite location required replacing the windshield in California, about 8 days after the Virgina installation. The Salinas location worked with my being 2900 miles from home, and got the new windshield installed with only adding another day to my trip. The Safelite HQ/central office actually caused problems and delays in getting the work scheduled last year. One HQ contact actually suggested I take the van back to the original (Virginia) location to correct the bad installation. That was not possible because the windshield was coming out of the frame and banging against the car frame whenever I went over bumps, and it could not be safely drive 2900 miles in that condition. On a recent trip to California, late on Saturday afternoon, June 30 the windshield was cracked in New Mexico (a stone chip on the highway). I immediately contacted my insurance company, who transferred me to Safelite. I stated to the Safelite HQ/central office that I could have the work done at their Van Nuys, CA location on Monday morning, or the Salinas location on Tuesday or Wednesday, but would prefer the work be done as soon as possible in Van Nuys (Monday) because the crack was growing in length. Safetlite HQ put in a message to their Van Nuys location for my service request, but as the Van Nuys location was were closed so until they opened an answer about when they could perform the service would not be available. I stated to the Safelite HQ contact that I would be waiting at the Van Nuys office when they opened at 8 AM on Monday. When I arrived at the Van Nuys location at 7:00 AM on Monday, it was discovered THERE IS NO VAN NUYS OFFICE. A sign on the door stated the Van Nuys Safelite location was relocating, and to call an HQ number provided to reschedule installations. The next calls to Safelite HQ took all morning and were a nightmare - being on hold and dealing with contacts that had no interest in factoring in with my being 2600 miles from home. In this instance their statements that Saturday was the earliest appointment (this was on Monday morning) would have required me to add another 3 days in a motel to wait for their service. I indicated that I was able to stop at any Safelite location along my travel route but would prefer Salinas as they did a great job correcting the "bad" installation last year. I repeatedly asked that the HQ office give me a direct phone number for the Salinas office, because from my experience last year, they would almost certainly be able to work in an installation on Tuesday or Wednesday. The HQ office refused to provide a direct number, but they did get the Salinas office on the line. Shirtly after the Salinas office joing the phone conversation (at abot 11:45 on Monday, July 2) the Salinas office indicated if I could be at the Salinas shop at 2:00 PM the next day, they had an appointment available. I arrived at the Salinas office as scheduled at 2 PM on Tuesday, July 3. The Salinas office did a great job (they also did a great job last year). For the Salinas office - thanks for your great work, helping solve a major problem for a customer 2900 miles from home, and being able to provide great customer service. For Safelite HQ/central systems - PLEASE revise your systems and training so that you can actually help solve problems - instead of causing additional problems and delays for customers. If you have recordings of my multiple calls to your central phone numbers please listen to them and you can get an idea about how dysfunctional your central systems are for anything but someone needing service near their home.

Clasificada como 5 de 5 por de Kaboooooom!!! A huge bird flew into my windshield as I was traveling at around 75 MPH on I-10. Thing almost penetrated the windshield. Super fast friendly service. Dropped of f my van with no appt and two hours later it was ready! Lightning fast service and a clean windshield.
