Unless your car can't be moved or you're a long way from a service shop, take your car to the shop to have the window replaced. I was in and out in one hour without any hassle. Took my car to the shop after Safelite cancelled two appointments to have the windshield replaced at my apartment.

It took 3 appointments to get the right windshield. The first two appointments were delayed. Finally on the third try the windchill was installed but my driver windshield wiper was not re-assembled properly and hit the hood chipping the paint. Disappointed about the customer service and the craftsmanship.

I had an enjoyable experience dealing with the local Manager and, Receptionist for making an appointment schedule change and to answer questions concerning my window seals. Then at my appointment the Window TechnicIan to perform the service was handled without a glitch! He handed me my keys back after getting it completed and a professional thank you was given.
However the SafeLite Auto Glass telephone AI and Customer Service Representatives que was absolutely abhorrent and extremely difficult to get through to talk to the local location here in North Charleston, SC. This needs to be investigated and changed for easier access by the Customer to talk to the shop they are taking their vehicle to be repaired.
