Argh I hear a popping noise and the chip in my windshield begins to spider! I call my insurance company, StateFarm and in 5 minutes I have an appointment for Safelite to fix my windshield the next day at my house. So easy…availability for an appointment quickly. Then a few hours later I get a confirmation call and a question…do you have a garage, there is a 65% chance for rain tomorrow…no I don’t…Safelite rep says we have two options - reschedule for next week or bring the car the next day to the local Safelite office in a state College by my office. I took the appointment in State College, dropped my car off at 8 and received a text at noon that my car was ready. Picked it up at 1 with directions and the old registration in hand to go to an inspection station to get new tags.
