Then when I got my email reminder, it showed an appointment for 12 AM, so I called. Somehow I ended up speaking to someone at the shop across the bay. Even though my appointment was at 3:00, he expressed his view that it would take four hours, he couldn't understand why they'd told me two hours, that the guys would have to work late, that I should take my car in earlier, maybe the beginning of the day in case there was a cancellation. I asked if there was an earlier time slot at my store. No. He warned me that there was no way they could do it in two hours.
I took my car in at 2:30 just in case. I sat around for the half hour because it turned out they were super busy. Then it turned out that they wanted to install an aftermarket windshield. I said no, so we rescheduled my appointment.
Showed up and got the OEM installed by a very efficient and polite technician.
Bottom line is I'm pleased with the repair and the way I was treated by the technician.
