The repair process is only an attempt to save the integrity of the glass, at times the repair may still be visible depending on the size (width and depth) of the chip. If at any time the repair spreads and or you are unhappy with the repair; that amount will be credited toward the full replacement of your windshield. I was hoping the crack in my windshield could be fixed but unfortunately it was too deep and I ended up having to replace the whole windshield. Safelite was able to still do it the same day. They replaced another windshield months before with the same great service.
