Safelite Seattle Team Helps Local Kids

Meet Rebecca H.

She’s an area sales manager for Safelite’s Seattle market. She and her team give back to the community through an on-going partnership supporting the Trufant Family Foundation.

Most recently, the team (area sales managers Rebecca and Chad; store manager Tracy; and technician Jake), helped collect backpacks and school supplies for area schools. In addition to their own donations, they accepted contributions at all 11 Seattle Safelite locations. Together, they were able to collect 275 backpacks with school supplies to be delivered to local students.

“Supporting the Trufant Family Foundation is important to me because they are a local charity that benefits disadvantaged youth in the community I live and work in,” Rebecca shared. “Our future is in our children and the opportunity to give them a hand-up and create a positive impact is life changing.”

In addition to the backpack drive, the Safelite team also sponsors and coordinates several fundraising events in partnership with the Trufant Family Foundation including the Trufant Family Foundation Billiards and Bowl (in partnership with the Seattle Seahawks), and the Celebrity Beach Volleyball fundraiser.

“I feel honored to be able to represent Safelite and to see the smiles on the kids’ and teachers’ faces,” Rebecca added. “I have three teachers in my family and I know how much they appreciate the help to get the kids off to a good start.”

“I grew up in a family where giving back was a priority,” Rebecca continued. “Over the years I have managed campaigns for several different charities, but helping the Trufant Family Foundation on behalf of Safelite has been the most hands-on and by far the most rewarding.”
