Charity Spotlight: New Orleans Team Supports Children’s Hospital

District Manager Mark G. (35 years with Safelite) and Area Sales Manager Denise T. (27 years with Safelite) are avid supporters of Children’s Hospital of New Orleans, a non-profit organization providing services for children from birth to 21-years-old.

At Children’s, no child is left out... Services are completely covered despite a family’s economic situation. It is the only full-service hospital exclusively for children in Louisiana and the Gulf South.

Denise’s connection with Children’s Hospital goes back to her teenage years when her cousin was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. Children Hospital was a life source for the family. From that time forward, she has enjoyed watching many miracles happen.

There are many ways she and Mark coordinate help from Safelite’s New Orleans team.

For example, each year, the team volunteers time to answer calls during the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon. And this April they donated their time and service each Saturday where they would performed windshield repairs in exchange for a $25 donation to the hospital.

Through their efforts, they were able to contribute more than $5,200 to Children’s Hospital.

“The reward is knowing that you have helped those in need and have added a spark of hope, a ray of life,” Denise says. “Hearing the stories of recovery and those in the battle makes you realize just how precious life is.”
