Safelite Relocates Springdale, AR Store

SPRINGDALE, Ark. - March 11, 2011- Safelite AutoGlass®, the nation’s leading provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, relocated its Springdale store from 3112 North Thompson to 3546 West Sunset in March 2011.

The new 4,000 square-foot facility allows the company to nearly quadruple in-stock vehicle glass and part inventory so that more same-day and convenient in-shop appointments can be offered in the area. Customers also will continue to have the option to schedule a mobile appointment.

“Safelite is committed to serving customers in northwest Arkansas, and we think they’ll quicker service from our larger, easier-to-find store,” said Nathan Paul, general manager. “Keeping people safe while they are in their vehicles is a key component to Safelite’s approach to the business. Vehicle glass is an important element of a car’s structural integrity, and we are happy to perform inspections to identify any risky chips or provide a quote on glass damage.”

This new Safelite® store, which is the largest in northwest Arkansas, is more centrally located and is easily accessible to customers from Interstate 540. It is managed by Timothy Gilley who leads a team of one installation manager and five Safelite-certified technicians. Safelite® expects to hire more in the near future.

The new store is part of the company’s overall growth strategy. Since 2009, Safelite® has invested greatly to support an expanded physical presence, including:

  • Opened, expanded or relocated 35 warehouses for added inventory
  • Opened, expanded or relocated more than 10 stores
  • Opened its second-largest distribution center in Ontario, California and its largest distribution center in Braselton, Ga.
  • Expanded inventory to allow for cross-border deliveries with Canada
  • Opened its third national contact center, creating 500 immediate jobs with the potential for up to 1,000 in Phoenix, Ariz.
