Safelite AutoGlass Recognized by the Arizona Diamondbacks for Charitable Partnership
PHOENIX, Ariz. – Safelite AutoGlass®, the nation’s largest provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, was honored in the 2017 Most Valuable Partner Awards presented by Arizona Diamondbacks. The MVP awards to recognize the MLB team’s corporate partners whose marketing and promotions make a lasting impression and produce results. Safelite AutoGlass was the recipient of the Luis Gonzales Community Champion Award for alignment with the D-backs to truly make a difference in the local community.
Safelite AutoGlass has been a partner to the D-backs since 2013. Last year, fundraising efforts totaled more than $60,000 per year plus countless hours of volunteer efforts. Examples of the ongoing partnership include:
Safelite Summer of Safety Triple Play Program for Kids: In 2016, Safelite launched the Summer of Safety alongside the D-backs. The program aimed to keep kids “in the game” all summer long by raising awareness and providing valuable information, instruction and resources to the community such as swimming lessons, car seat safety checks, bicycle/helmet give away along with training, and a free child immunization event.
During the summer months of June, July, and August, Safelite also ran a campaign called “Safelite Gives a Buck Back” where it donated $1 for every job, which helped raise $50,000 for the D-backs Foundation.
The D-Backs Race Against Cancer: Safelite AutoGlass has been the medal sponsor for this community fundraiser for four years. In addition to a team of more than 100 runners and 75 event volunteers, Safelite AutoGlass also sponsored 100 girls from the “Girls on the Run” non-profit organization to participate.
Evening on the Diamond: Safelite AutoGlass is a leading sponsor of this annual fundraising, helping to raise $2 million in a single night for the D-backs Foundation.
The D-back Celebrity Golf Classic: Safelite AutoGlass also sponsors this event, for which District Manager Shawn McClain is the co-chair, and recruits 20-25 people to volunteer for set-up and break-down of the tournament.
