Safelite AutoGlass Opens New SuperCenter in Portland, ME
PORTLAND, Maine – To better serve customers in Maine and New Hampshire, Safelite AutoGlass® is opening a new SuperCenter in Portland by October 2016. Customers in Maine and New Hampshire were previously served through Safelite’s mobile technicians and Boston-based warehouse. Thanks to customer demand, the company is able to open an all-new warehouse and store located at 421 Warren Ave., Portland, ME, 04103.
Larry Gallagher was hired to serve as the new District Manager earlier this year. He comes to Safelite with a background of 22 years in retail. His team will include nearly 40 associates, including existing technicians in the market and all new positions in the warehouse and customer advocate roles. The SuperCenter is slated to open by October 1, 2016, and will host an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony in conjunction with the Portland Chamber of Commerce on October 26.
The 27,000-square-foot facility will stock frequently needed parts and hold six service bays in order to accommodate more customers with same- or next-day in-shop service. Mobile appointments will continue to be available.
The Portland SuperCenter is easily accessible from state route 95 for customers across Maine and New Hampshire. Both in-shop and mobile service appointments are available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
