Safelite AutoGlass Opens New Store in East Hartford, Conn.
HARTFORD, Conn. – On May 16, 2014, Safelite AutoGlass®, the nation’s largest provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, will open a new shop located at 125 Burnside Avenue in East Hartford, CT. This will be the seventh location in the Hartford market and the ninth in Connecticut.
The 1,335-square-foot facility will feature a comfortable waiting room with free Wi-Fi, beverages, and television. Mobile service will continue to be an option for customers who prefer the job be completed at their home or place of business.
“We look forward to continuing to serve the Greater Hartford community for all their auto glass repair and replacement needs,” said Jamie Donais, Safelite’s district manager. “Few people think about auto glass until they have serious damage. Small chips or cracks can easily and effectively be filled to restore the windshield’s original structural integrity and prevent further damage. It can be a safe and economical alternative to a full windshield replacement. It only takes about a half hour in our shop.”
Safelite recently opened a new warehouse located at 40 Sebethe Drive, Cromwell, CT. The 36,000-square-foot facility allows for 15 percent more in-stock inventory. Increased capacity allows Safelite to hire new employees in addition to the company’s more than 100 statewide employees. So far this year, the company has hired 24 new employees in the Hartford market, including six in Cromwell with plans to add two technicians later in the year.
