Safelite AutoGlass Expands Presence in Tampa
TAMPA, Fla. – Aug. 29, 2011 Safelite AutoGlass®, the nation’s leading provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, is expanding its presence in Tampa in an effort to better serve the community, increasing customers’ likelihood of scheduling same-day, in-shop service for vehicle glass repair or replacement.
On September 15, the company will relocate its warehouse or “SuperCenter” which holds the glass inventory for the market to a larger space in northern Tampa – 11441 North Highway 301 Thonotosassa, Fla., 33592. The new 33,000 square foot facility will house an inventory of 10,000 parts. The SuperCenter also has a service shop with four service bays. It is easily accessible from Highway 301 and Fowler Avenue, less than two miles east of I-75.
The existing store, located at 4214 N. Armenia Ave Tampa, FL 33607, will continue to serve the South area of Tampa. It provides an additional four service bays.
“Safelite AutoGlass® is committed to serving customers in the Tampa area, and this larger SuperCenter will allow us to have more inventory on hand to service customers,” said Amiee Nickerauer, Safelite’s local general manager. “Keeping people safe while they are in their vehicles is a key component to Safelite’s approach to the business. Vehicle glass is an important element of a car’s structural integrity, and we are happy to perform inspections to identify any risky chips or provide a quote on glass damage.”
Richard Oliver serves as the store manager, overseeing a staff of 20. The company plans to hire more service representatives, dispatchers, seasonal repair specialists, and technicians to support its growth in Tampa.
