Safelite AutoGlass® and A Kid Again score with OSU Kicks for Kids program
COLUMBUS, OH – Safelite AutoGlass®, the nation’s largest provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, is proud to announce the second year of its Kicks for Kids program, benefiting A Kid Again. A Kid Again is a charitable organization that funds adventures for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
Safelite AutoGlass, a sponsor of Ohio State University athletics, donates $500 to Kicks for Kids for every extra point or field goal made by the Buckeyes at home. Kicks for Kids raised $26,500 this year, far exceeding the $18,500 raised last year.
“We’re thrilled when the football flies through the goalposts and hits that Safelite-branded net,” said Vice President of Marketing Christina Pletnewski. “We’re proud of the Buckeyes but even more, we’re proud of our focus on helping families through our partnership with Kicks for Kids.”
More than 500 central Ohio families have enjoyed time at the Columbus Zoo, Kings Island, OSU sporting events, Magic Mountain and more, thanks to the Kicks for Kids program.
The benefits of an adventure cannot be overstated. Giving a sick child and their family the opportunity to focus on something other than their illness, even for a few hours, has a pronounced effect on their well-being.
