Safelite Expands Product Availability in Oneonta
ONEONTA, New York - Safelite AutoGlass®, the nation's leading vehicle glass repair and replacement company, has moved its Oneonta store to a new location, doubling the space and allowing warehousing of parts.
Located at 195 Oneida Street, Suite B Oneonta, the store is in same building as AAA Travel and right off Interstate 88, and opens December 6, 2010.
The new store is part of the company’s overall growth strategy. Beginning in 2009, Safelite® invested $38 million to support growth and has made similar investments in 2010. In addition to opening the new store, the company has also:
- Opened six new warehouses, expanded five and relocated more than a dozen other existing warehouses for added inventory
- Remodeled 34 stores
- Opened its second-largest distribution center in Ontario, California and its largest distribution center in Braselton, Ga.
- Expanded inventory to allow for cross-border deliveries with Canada
- Opened its third national contact center, creating 500 immediate jobs with the potential for up to 1,000 in Phoenix, Ariz.
