Safelite AutoGlass' Herron Appointed Trustee

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Doug Herron, executive vice president and CFO for Safelite AutoGlass®, has been appointed trustee of Community Shelter Board.

"We are delighted about Doug's appointment to our board of trustees. We were attracted to his strong financial expertise and experience," said Michelle Heritage Ward, Community Shelter Board's executive director. "Since Doug's appointment, he has shown a great deal of excitement for the mission of ending homelessness He is already a demonstrated advocate, working with other companies to champion the cause and gain support for solutions to end homelessness. We look forward to his continued contributions as a passionate, highly engaged trustee."

Herron joined Safelite AutoGlass® in 1992 after 20 years with General Electric, where he held positions in finance operations and corporate audit. Since joining Safelite® Group, he has served as leader of various departments, including finance, IT, supply chain and commercial sales.

"My appointment as trustee of the Community Shelter Board is a great honor" said Herron. "This organization is dedicated to assisting families and individuals facing barriers to housing stability and I'm dedicated to doing all I can to further this mission."

Herron earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Cornell University. He resides in Westerville, Ohio.
