08-08-2012

PHOENIX, Ariz. - Aug. 8, 2012 – Safelite AutoGlass®, the nation’s largest provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, recently held a School Supply Drive at its Chandler Contact Center, which employs approximately 575 people. Thanks to the generous donations of employees and a 50/50 raffle, more than 2,760 items were donated to nearby Kerr Elementary School in Mesa. The 50/50 raffle generated enough money to purchase 255 items for the school, including 55 backpacks.

Eric Tanner, a customer service representative, said, “My mother was a teacher so I understand that these schools need the money and all the help they can get. It is huge to me to have the opportunity to help these children in their education.”

As a company, Safelite AutoGlass® is committed to being a responsible member of the communities where its employees live and work. Representatives from Safelite AutoGlass® will also volunteer during the Arizona Humane Society’s upcoming Pet-A-Thon on August 25, 2012.

“It is always great to see the Safelite® team come together and support a great cause for the community,” said Tyler Teter, director of the Chandler Contact Center operations. “We look forward to every opportunity to enhance the lives of our friends and neighbors.”
