Safelite AutoGlass® Appoints New General Managers in Three California Markets
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Nov. 28, 2012 - Safelite AutoGlass® – the nation’s largest provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services – has made the following management changes in California:
· Los Angeles General Manager Drew Carter has retired after 47-plus years in the vehicle glass industry, 41 of which were with Safelite AutoGlass®.
· William Pierce has been named general manager for Los Angeles.
· Frank Primer has been named general manager for San Francisco/Oakland.
· Mandy Seeley has been promoted to general manager for Sacramento.
Los Angeles Market:
As of October 1, Pierce was promoted from market manager to general manager in Los Angeles. Pierce was hired in 2011 as market manager with the goal of transitioning to general manager once Carter retired. Carter played a large role in Safelite’s expansion in southern California during the past three years and oversaw the opening of four Los Angeles area stores: Camarillo, Van Nuys, Gardena, and Irvine.
“Drew is a legend in our industry, and his impact will be felt by generations of auto glass professionals to come,” said Clayton Frech, Safelite’s California division manager. “Most managers in the region have been affected and impressed by his knowledge and loyalty to the company and his associates. We wish him a happy and fulfilling retirement and thank him for his service to Safelite AutoGlass®.”
Pierce has spent the last year learning the business under Carter’s guidance. In his previous role, Pierce was responsible for managing the southern region of the Los Angeles market. He also successfully helped to drive operational performance across the entire market.
San Francisco Market:
As of October 1, Primer relocated to the San Francisco area to serve as general manager of the San Francisco/Oakland market. His previous success as general manager of the Sacramento market makes him ideal for this position. In his five years in Sacramento, Primer successfully built that market into a large, high-performing market.
Sacramento Market:
As of October 4, Seeley was promoted to general manager in Sacramento. Early this year, she moved from warehouse supervisor to services manager and now has moved to general manager thanks to her proven track record of results.
“All three of these individuals have shown a commitment to Safelite’s customers and their peers while driving business results,” said Frech. “We are pleased to see leadership like theirs be rewarded.”
