Get to know Corey Heim, NASCAR Truck Series Driver of the #11 Safelite Tundra

Join us in welcoming the new driver of our #11 Safelite TRD Tundra Pro, Corey Heim! We're excited to have Corey and the TRICON Garage team on board and looking forward to a great NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season. Come along as we get to know Corey both on and off the track.

How did you get started in racing and how old were you?

I started when I was 5 years old. My dad surprised me with a go-kart for my fifth birthday. I started on my local track in Georgia and raced there for 8 years.

What would your profession be if you weren’t a NASCAR Truck Series driver?

I think I’d want to be a sports analyst. I’m huge into football, hockey, and racing. I feel like I’m very informative and invested in sports statistics.

When you aren’t on the track, what does your day to day look like?

It’s all about racing, you know. I wake up and go to the Toyota Racing Performance center. From there, I go to my simulator in Salisbury, North Carolina. I’ll work on that throughout the day, spend time with my team and create a bond before going to race on Saturday.

Who in your life knows you the best?

Definitely my dad! I spent so much time with him growing up and traveling with him all over the southeast. We’ve done drives every weekend and built a strong bond throughout my entire life.

Easy! Food.

Do you have any nicknames?

Not really a nickname, but we’ve branded the phrase Heim Time. It goes together well 😉

You’re stranded on an island. What three items would you bring with you?

Gotta have my phone! I spend a lot of time on social media, not posting, but I like to scroll and eavesdrop. I like to use TikTok — my screen time may be a little concerning! I’d probably bring a pen and paper too.

What dish are you the master of cooking?

Breakfast tacos! I cook the heck out of some breakfast. I like to do a little mini tortilla, pepper jack, egg and some jalapeños (yum).

If you had to choose one song to listen to for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Ummm, man, that’s a really tough one. I don’t know for sure, but I do like Jay-Z's songs. I couldn’t pick just one, but those are fun to listen to.
