Often times, our Safelite technicians reflect on how working with different customers is one of their favorite aspects of their jobs. In our monthly tech interview, hear from our featured tech Carlos about how each day is different with new customers, and what he likes to do outside of work.

How did you get started at Safelite?

I was working with a concrete company. After five years of cleaning and polishing and working all around the country, I was left with little time at home. I found an ad for Safelite online and applied and was interviewed about three days after I applied.

What’s the best thing about being a technician?

I love the people I work with, especially our local leader Jose. I also enjoy talking to customers and getting to know someone new every day. Most importantly, I love the future I see with our company… and opportunities to advance.

What’s the most memorable experience you’ve had at Safelite?

I will always remember the first car I did! I focused on doing the best work possible but I was extremely nervous.

 Do you have a favorite customer experience?

I think I have a new one almost every day! I find that demonstrating my confidence in what I do helps make them comfortable.

Outside of work, what are you passionate about?

I love working out, staying healthy, playing basketball and going to the shooting range. I also like spending time with my three children and lovely wife of 5 years Sara.
